HOW
TO USE THIS CATALOGUE
The sealing efficiency of outlets used with LMF and LMG Plugs and
Sockets is entirely dependent upon the selection of the correct sequence
and size of outlet ancillary fittings applicable to a particular type
and size of cable.
1. Select a plug or socket from the ranges catalogued on pages 7 to 24 and
29 to 46. Note shell size.
2. Turn to pages 48 to 57 and 76. Select from same shell size as plug or
socket, an Outlet Accessory Set to suit the type and size of cable being
used.
3. If requirements are not covered by an accessory set, select individual
fittings from ancillaries catalogued on pages 58 to 62. Special care
must be paid to the code letter for the ancillaries selected, since all
additional fittings must fall within the same code letter category.
4. Protective caps are shown on pages 63 to 65.
5. Refer to pages 77 to 82 for recommended method of wiring the plug or
socket.
All contacts supplied with connectors are silver plated. To specify
gold-plated contacts replace penultimate digit of connector part number
with the figure 1. (e.g. /320 silver contacts 1310 gold contacts)

are shown against the Weald part number. Also indicated is the page number
of the catalogue where the Weald part number appears. Against each Weald
number in the index there is a line number used in conjunction with the BS
and NATO references.

PART NUMBERS
All part numbers shown in this catalogue are based on the Plessey
Connectors Ltd Part Number System (LMF formerly Mk. 4, LMG formerly Mk.
7). We have replaced the Plessey Prefix 508 with LMF and LMG for
connectors, IMA for accessories and LMT for tools. Otherwise the part
numbers are unchanged.
